Schuylkill River Sojourn
June 2 to June 8, 2012

The Schuylkill River Sojourn is a 112-mile guided canoe and kayak trip on the Schuylkill River that begins in rural Schuylkill Haven and ends seven days later in Philadelphia's Boathouse Row. The wonderful thing about this event is that paddlers can register for as little as one day, or for the entire trip. Sometimes it is wet and wild. At other times it is calm and serene. Yes, there are some rapids, but there is mostly calm water and more laughs and memories than you can imagine. One of the most special things about the sojourn is the celebrations each river town plans as the paddlers come through. So, if you are nearby a "river town" this weekend, why not come out and watch the Sojourn come through your town? Visit the Schuylkill River website for a schedule for your local area. I know I will be waiting for the group to pass through Pottstown's Riverfront Park this week!
