Sleep - an optional extra

At the end of a month I usually take time to review my life, my business and my place in the world.

Too often it is easy to slip into complacency - my comfort zone, the area of life that tends to produce "just enough" to get by. Instead of classifying myself as a mere human being I choose to be a human doing. This requires positive action on my part.

sleep, an optional extra, no limits no excuses

Since I am the only one to provide my necessary motivation, I have to plan and execute my own programs. With this in mind, I am beginning a "100 day attack". Starts June 1, 2012. Actually the preparatory planning has been done. I relate well to 100 day attacks, I am always more than happy with the results.

It is my summer attack which is a major review, a step forward, in increments, mere 10% increases each 10 days. More of the things that promote my business, less complacent attitude. Daily review.

Some areas for improvement are obvious, others not so, like an increase in my language skills, currently improving my Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian; an increase in my fitness levels, so easy to let drag; an understanding and increased understanding and use of modern technology and communication; an awareness of positive branding; increased interaction with other human doings. More of many things because I am capable of so much more.

When I deliberately seek more of my self, I respond. It is my nature.

Join me for the ride.

I like this, Larry.  I was reviewing my goals from last month and fell short in two key areas.  So, starting Saturday, I'm going to double up in those areas, which is only one more hour a day.  A simple increase, an big boost.  Thanks for the inspiration.

I like that Larry, I am a human doing rather than a human being.  What a great way to look at your life.  Good luck with your 100 day challenge.  And who needs that much sleep....frankly I think it's overrated ;o).

Wayne and Jean Marie - Will keep you posted about every ten days. Thanks for your interest. Participation is good too.

Juli - so easy to fall behind. What is easy to do is often easy not to do as well. Good luck on your catch up. Good to see you have a start date. Small increases always work.

Paula - when I have the purpose I can settle into polyphasic sleep patterns (4 hours core, 20 mins each four hours). Amazing what can be achieved in a short period. Happy to see you are another human doing. Great wat to spend a life.

Roger - thanks heaps, encouragement helps greatly.

Wayne - past experience indicates that small increases are always doable. The attack reinforces major habit changes.

Laura - best of luck for a great outcome. Personal challenges are always beneficial. Keep your goals high but not out of sight, and keep moving them as appropriate..
