Obama, Romney, Hillary, Giuliani, Huckabee? Real Estate Wins No Matter What

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Allegiance, Managing Broker/Branch Vice President

This is is not a political post.  This is a real estate post. Short and  simple.

The people of the United States elect a new president every 4 years.

A new President of the United States brings a new administration, new ideas, new programs, new people.  Out with the old.  In with the new.

Most government employees, diplomats, judges, civil servants, ambassadors, staff people, cabinet members, lobbyists, policy makers, and their families choose to live in Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. or suburban Maryland.

Many of those on the way out will choose to move from the D.C. area.  Those who hold the new positions will be looking for homes in Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland.

Northern VirginiaThe Presidential Election is good for real estate in Northern Virginia.  Many homes will be going on the market come November.  Many more people will be relocating to Northern Virginia and D.C.

Do you know who's going to win?

Obama Romney Clinton Giuliani Huckabee

TOM:  Thanks for your comment.  I always try to be in the right place at the right time.  That place was NYC this past week.

CINDY:  Yes, the military transfers in and out are a big part of the migration to and from the D.C. Capital Area.  Thanks for your comments, and yes, you did get at least a small hint of my politics.  I'm not telling any more right now.

JAMES:  Thanks for your comment.  I'm sorry you find the post to be in bad taste, but I'm not criticizing anyone else's political views and may or may not be expressing my opinion here.  After all, it is my post on my blog and I don't see a problem with presenting my views if I wish.  There are likely Democrats, Republicans and Independents who will all find the graphic funny, and they can make up their own minds whether or not they wish to associate with me because of the post.  I certainly could have poked fun at all the candidates, but in this case, did not wish to do so.

KAREN:  I think that you are probably right about the staffers being primarily renters and I certainly trust your experience.  Thanks for providing your perspective.

SCOTT:  BRAC is certainly another big issue in the area with all of the military relocations and base closures and shifts.

BILL:  I'm not sure how to read your comment.  We obviously have movement in the market much more often.  Maybe you're talking about having more frequent elections.  Is it a call to "throw the bums out" much more often?

Brian - If she wins, send all those folks over to Maryland. I will be happy with whichever Democrat is elected.
