Last night Reno/Sparks association of Realtors mixer held at Renown in Reno was not your average mixer. Yes there was food, drinks, and networking but there was more. Renown staff had Zorro attending. He's a therapy Poodle with a great haircut. Zorro was a star and the Realtors were like Paparazzi snapping pictures. Renown Helipad

One of the best things about the mixer was the tours. The three tours available were Children’s, Trauma, or Cancer Ward. I took two of the tours. Trauma and Cancer ward. With the addition on the new tower and remodel on Renown  in Reno it was amazing to see the thought and effort that went into not only the technology but the art and decorating. The building feels more like an office or hotel than a Hospital. The children areas have bright colors, there is an elderly lounge for the ER that is separate and quiet, the cancer area is open with high ceilings, and the trauma is equipped with all the latest technology.

My favorite part was the VIP access to the roof. The large freight like elevator takes you to the 10th floor roof access in 12 seconds. On the roof is two helipads. With a great view of Reno and the airport that controls their air traffic. I was surprised to hear that medical helicopters from 26 different carriers that fly to Reno and use Renowns Helipads. Patients from Nevada and other states are brought to Reno for treatment.

It's great to know we have such a advanced meical facility right here in Reno.

Rob - How cool to be able to tour the Trauma Center, Children's Ward, and Cancer Ward! It will probably give you a better perspective when working with folks dealing with serious situations!
