Walking Trails in Overland Park, Kansas

A nice way to spend a summer afternoon is walking on the trails in the Overland Park Arboretum.  The Arboretum is located in Southern Overland Park, close to 69 highway.  It is less than an hour drive from most anywhere in the KC Metro area.

The Overland Park Arboretum has both paved and non-paved nature trails.  You can walk to waterfalls, a lake, explore a medicinal wheel, a children's garden, bird watch, and their newest attraction, a train garden.

It is completely free to visit the Overland Park Arboretum!  There are plans to eventually charge an admission fee, but for now there are no fees for visiting unless it is a special event such as the Luminary Walk.

Thanks Debbie.  The Arboretum is one of the best gems of Overland Park.  People of all ages and abilities enjoy visiting the trails and there are limitless outdoor photo opportunities there.  It really is a place no one in the KC Metro should miss visiting!
