Have you ever wanted to jump into a frozen lake? The Shawnee, Kansas Polar Bear Plunge event gives thrill seekers the opporutnity to run into the icy cold waters of Shawnee Mission Park Beach while raising money for the Special Olympics.
The Polar Bear Plunge takes place at various locations around the United States and it is always held in the winter, typically in January when the water is freezing.
Groups can even register to take the plunge into the frozen lake together!
