Art Fair Season is officially underway in Chicago. Recently, I blogged a bit about the beginning of Art Fair Season in Dallas. Then, I blogged a little more about my absolute love for art fairs, art festivals, and often times the plentiful, whimsical creativity found at these events. I believe I have accurately labeled myself as a complete and total art fair fanatic/art festival junkie. So, this past weekend, I made sure to attend the Eastside Millennium Art Festival near Millenium Park. Talk about a genuine, hard core, downtown "City" art fair. Tents set up in a nearby area just off of Michigan Avenue. The "El" train whooshing by in the background. Not surprisingly, the chilly, rainy, Spring weather hardly dampened the spirits of the artists -- nor kept many art enthusiasts away.
Plus, art fairs and art festivals are typically pet friendly and great for people watching too! Several more Chicagoland art fairs and art festivals are scheduled throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall. So, if you are planning a visit to the Chicagoland area, you may want to check out one of these fabulous events. You'll be glad you did!
