Speechless Sunday: Chicago Style Art Fair

Real Estate Broker/Owner with North Shore Suburbs & Chicago Real Estate

Eastside Millennium Art Fair

Art Fair Season is officially underway in Chicago.  Recently, I blogged a bit about the beginning of Art Fair Season in Dallas.  Then, I blogged a little more about my absolute love for art fairs, art festivals, and often times the  plentiful, whimsical creativity found at these events.  I believe I have accurately labeled myself as a complete and total art fair fanatic/art festival junkie.  So, this past weekend, I made sure to attend the Eastside Millennium Art Festival near Millenium Park.  Talk about a genuine, hard core, downtown "City" art fair.  Tents set up in a nearby area just off of Michigan Avenue.  The "El" train whooshing by in the background.  Not surprisingly, the chilly, rainy, Spring weather hardly dampened the spirits of the artists -- nor kept many art enthusiasts away.

Plus, art fairs and art festivals are typically pet friendly and great for people watching too!  Several more Chicagoland art fairs and art festivals are scheduled throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall.  So, if you are planning a visit to the Chicagoland area, you may want to check out one of these fabulous events.  You'll be glad you did!

I rolled in from vacation to late to hit one of our big Art Fairs this weekend.  At least I did manage to make it to the music at the marina tonight instead.

Hi Carie,

This is my kind of art sale as I love to go down the closed off streets and shop at all the stands. Wish I was there! Hope you found something nice.

Happy Sunday.

Cindy:  Music at the marina is good too :)

Janis:  90's for 2 days then 60's and rain ... that's Chicago weather!

Than:  I know ... some places seem to get going earlier than others!

Kristin:  It was fun!  Some very interesting art and talented artists, for sure!  Happy Sunday to you too :)

I love art fairs and festivals too.  We seem to have a lot of them to enjoy here in El Dorado Hills! Fine by me!!!)

Carie, we have a big one in Bethesda every year, and this year I managed to miss it.  They are such fun, and you realize that art comes in so many forms!  I got a great pair of clogs at on a few years ago and yes, a work of art!

Carie, Chicago is so much fun. My son and daughter in law live in North Chicago (he's in the Navy band) and try to go the city often for music events since they are both music lovers.
