They Have Flown the Nest!

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential CT Realty

Before I left on a week-long vacation to South Carolina, I took this picture of the baby birds that hatched in a nest in my Christmas wreath. They had grown so fast over the previous few days that I was sure they would be gone by the time I got back.

Baby Birds

I'm glad I took the picture because the nest was empty when I got home. Mission accomplished, Mama Bird!

Now I can take my wreath down!

Hi Peggy,

Well, it happens to all of us; having our kids fly the nest so I am sure you were a great surrogate mom too. Now you can put your Christmas wreath away. Happy Wednesday.

Peggy - I had a robin build her nest in one of my fuchsia plants last year. I took some great pictures (if I don't say so myself). It was fun watching them grow, then one day they were gone! I am hoping for a repeat performance this year.

Peggy, this time of year we see many new baby birds, and unfortunately see quite a few in the grass, and have to be careful before mowing!
