Scam Jam in PostFalls! Post Falls Senior Center is hosting this free event that will empower citizens to fight fraud. Date is Thursday June 14th from 8 am to 3:30 pm and it is free but the Senior Center would like you to RSVP at aarp.cvent.com/ID_ScamJamPostFalls There will be a continental breakfast during registration and a lunch will be served.
Topics of fraud that will be covered sweepstakes, identity theft, home repair, email, credit card, magazine sales and Medicare.
Fraud has always been a problem but has been on the rise during the recession along with home invasions. Everyone that has an interest regardless of age is welcome. The Post Fall Police Department will have a booth and welcomes questions. At the end of the event there will be drawings for prizes.
