Doing What Is Right When It Comes To Gutters

By

As a Realtor, I've often watched Home Buyers encounter various issues during their Home Inspection. Most often problems center around plumbing and/or electrical, but nonetheless other issues (a real variety) do surface. On occassion, I've also observed problems with Gutters. Sometimes gutters leak causing some damage to the house. Still other times they just don't fit right and there are moments when the Inspector will suggest they need to be replaced.

I couldn't help but notice this interesting article that was in my email earlier this morning:

4 Rules About Gutter Replacement

I hope you will take a moment and read this informative post about Gutters. Actually, it might just save you some money. Most important, it gives you information about Doing What Is Right When It Comes To Gutters.

I think most people just do not do any routine maintenance on them, and wait until there is a major issue.

I've seen gutters filled with 2-3 years worth of debris, then complain when they overflow. Go figure!

I am considering gutter replacement on half of my office.  Good informatin for me.  I have 4 inch gutters with no gutter guards... not the best idea.  I just let the contractor choose for me... should have read this article first.

When I put new gutters on homes we flip, there are two benefits. First, they look great and add value to the home. Second, bring water away from the home, usually protects water in a basement.

David, gutter issues can cause a lot of damage if water should get into the home.   Great information for homeowners!
