Here are the nuts and bolts of the program:
- Applicants must qualify for a loan with an approved lender.
- Loan amount must not exceed $362,790.
- Purchased property does not have to be a foreclosure.
- Short sales are included.
- Down payment assistance is 5% of purchase price.
- Applicants must contribute 1.75 % of sales price or 50% of all assets over $3,000 (which ever is greater).
- Assistance is not restricted to certain zip codes.
- Income limits apply.
