Jesus turned water into wine and therefore, we enjoy the fruits of His labor. As we say in the South, Yes and Amen!

We came across Grapes to Wine a year ago when our dear friends introduced us to the great, local wine shop so close to home.  Dan and Hazel Adams are the owners of Grapes to Wine in Bartonville, TX and we couldn't be happier with such a quality local wine shop with a great selection of wines from regions around the world.

Grapes to Wine

Dan recently retired from a career in the golf industry to take a love of wine and turn it into a new focus.  The Bartonville Town Center has seen its ups and downs but Grapes to Wine has single-handidly revitalized this shopping center.

With a large selection of wines from larger, well-known vineyards all the way to boutique wineries, you can't go wrong with any bottle of wine you choose.  Dan's knowledge of the wine industry and business-savvyness makes for a potent combo of selection and quality.

Maybe you are so-so on wine.  Take my mom, for instance.  She's stuck on fruity Rieslings.  But, hey, tonight, she really liked a Pinot Noir.  Dan's ability to choose a nice variety of wines is part of the reason for his success.  With over 200 members in the Grapes to Wine club, it's no accident.  One of the best deals around is the wine club.  We have turned the monthly wine club into our date night.  For $35 a month, you come in once a month to taste the selection of six wines and take home two bottles of that month's selections.  You will typically get two whites and four reds to taste from.  You won't be disappointed!

We've gone to special tasting/pairing events at Grapes to Wines and enjoyed learning about the wine business and making connections with winemakers.  This is the place you come Friday nights for their complementary wine tastings and relax in the new wine room that allows you to sip on a glass of Cab after dinner.

With his knowledge of wine and "come on in" attitude, Grapes to Wine is a hidden gem in Denton County.  Grapes to Wine says that you come in as strangers and leave as friends and I can tell you from experience, this is absolutely the case.  It's a pleasurable and relaxing environment with an amazing selection of wine making Grapes to Wine the stop for a special bottle or everyday splash of wine to complement any meal or celebration.

Cheers!

Tricia, I do like wine, but don't know a lot about them...I usually stick with Merlot.  I've only been to a couple of wine tastings...enjoyed them a lot...always a great opportunity to learn more about wines.  This post reminds me of a local wine/bar here in Madison...think maybe I'll pop in for glass.

Let me tell you Nick, our wine journey has been years in the making.  We do some local tastings here (TX wine is typically terrible), have gone to Santa Barbara once, Lodi once and Napa twice.  This last trip to Napa/Lodi was the most educational we've had.  You can start to taste and smell the difference and really get to know your favorites.  Just when you think you have it figured out, you get a new varietal like Mouvedre thrown at you like we did last night.  It was a beautiful wine and ironically, we also had a lovely Merlot.  I started with Rieslings many years ago and now love them all!!

And Roll Tide!  I was a college softball player and coach and this series was the best I've seen in years!
