AR Comes Through On Google Alerts For My Real Estate Sales Books
I stumbled upon this very smart blog--Google allows one to sign up for "Google Alerts," which emails you important and relevant news stories relating to topics you are interested in, such as, for example, "real estate," "mortgages," "housing market," "VA/FHA Loans, " etc. (you put in the terms you are interested in). I have personally been using this method, with much success, in both keeping me up to date and finding topics to share here on ActiveRain or with fellow colleagues and customers alike.
"Google Alerts" is a free service that I recommend you use to see what is being published on the web and elsewhere about a particular topic or subject of interest to you and your business - you (actually use your name), your company, your town, your neighborhood, your competitor, and general subjects like home sales, local sports teams, or anything you like. You can use the proper name, a short-tailed search term. a blog name, or a website.
A few years ago, you were limited to just 5 search terms for free - more with a paid subscription. That was dropped along the way, and now the service is free for as many terms as you want to be notified about on an immediate, daily, or weekly basis. You can add or remove searches as often as you like.
One of the terms I search for is "real estate sales books." I keep looking for a mention, but usually nothing.
Today that was different.
There was only one result today for items on the web for my search term, and it was about me!
Actually this is a post I did for "Motivational Monday" on Monday that didn't even mention my books - except in the footer. The Google Alert was for content in the footer nad not the body of the post!
