Designations--I just earned the Resort and Second Home Property Specialist

By
Real Estate Agent with Colorado Group Realty, LLC

Steamboat Springs Real Estate, Resort and Second Home Property SpecialistDuring the December lull, I finished my certification for a Resort and Second Home Property Specialist.

To earn the designation, candidates must complete at two-day Resort and Second Home Markets Course and a two-day Tax-Deferred (1031) Exchange Course.  Two additional electives can be selected from among nine courses including residential property management, small business property management, international real estate, real estate investments, commercial real estate investments, and a resort symposium.

Only 3 Realtors (out of over 400) in Steamboat Springs, CO have earned the RSPS designation.

There has been substantial growth in the second-home market. In fact, investment property and vacation homes make up more than one-third of residential transactions.

For information on buying second homes and resort property, visit SteamboatHomeSales.com or call (970) 819-6372.

Hi This is primarily the area that I work.  Is this a NAR designation?  I would love to pursue this.

Hi Gayle,

This IS a NAR designation.  I thought the classes were really informative, especially the 1031 class.
