Janis, you did a great job helping people to understand possible commute times, without specific numbers that can get us in hot water!

Janis- this is just the information that a buyer will need and want to know.  When I lived in Houston it was uppermost on people's minds whether buying a house or changing jobs.  You've laid it out so that they can make their own decision.

Sharon... I suggest to buyers that they travel the commute and clock it. Recently I had clients that were looking to build a little too far away.. I let them know i was concerned. They stayed over night and made the commute and realized they needed to be closer to Newburgh than they originally thought. Now they are building and the commute is way more comfortable. It is all their decision of course.

Kathy.. It is a lifestyle that everyone sees differently. Pros and cons to everything. Commuting here is really popular though. Great jobs in the city... and great value in homes here in Newburgh NY.

Janis, Newburgh, and the surrounding communities, are definitely a less expensive option for those commuting to New York. And it's much quieter too!

What's the commute like in the winter? And what is the average commute from Newburgh to NYC?

Eric. The commute in the winter is not that bad as there is public transportation. Metro North is the way to go and during rush hour to Grand Central Station the train goes directly from Beacon to 125th street and then Grand Central in about 65 minutes. Check out the info on my website for the links to how and the actual schedules.
