‘Tis the Season For Summer Theater! Theater at Monmouth’s 2012 Season Begins!
The Theater at Monmouth is gearing up for what looks to be a great 43rd season - and the first for TAM’s new Producing Artistic Director, Dawn McAndrews. Cast and crew have begun to arrive and the lineup of shows looks to be exceptional as usual!
The season kicks off with the 13th annual Black Fly Follies variety show (named rather aptly after Maine’s late spring/early summer bane, the black fly) on June 30, 2012 at 7:30 pm.
The childrens' show, The Little Prince, opens on June 23, followed by the openings of Tartuffe on July 5, Two Gentlemen of Verona on July 12, The Glass Menagerie on July 19, and Henry IV Part 1 on July 26. The calendar of shows rotate throughout the months of July and August.
The Beatlemania Years: 1962 - 1966 is a special event on August 7 hosted by professional actor and TAM regular, Mark S. Cartier.
The Focus Group, Maine’s premiere improvisational group will be performing The Harold: Improv with a Twist for one night on August 16.
The season ends with the fall musical, Of Thee I Sing, opening on September 20.
So come on out to Monmouth’s Cumston Hall to enjoy TAM’s 2012 season.
Maybe I’ll see you there!
