Franklin County, Ohio home prices a market report for May 2012

- Average sale price - $164,000
Home sales of Franklin County, Ohio single family, resale properties was up slightly from May 2011, 1.7%. Home sales were up 11.6% from April 2012. The number of homes for sale was down 27.1% from a year ago.
The average for sale price (list price) in Franklin County is down 1.1% from May 2011 and the identical percentage from April 2012. The $164,000 average sale price in May was up 10.8% from May 2011 and up 4.5% from April 2012. Our market is seasonal, so home sale prices may ease up in the summer months. You can see June 2011 was the peak in 2011 average sale prices at $170,000.
