Fotos On the Fly – Have a peaceful weekend…

Nothing expresses the serenity of the weekend like a picture of the sunset on a lovely night on the Hudson River.   This photo was taken fairly near Lighthouse Landing near the Sleepy Hollow border.  I just think this photo says long balmy  summer days and  some opportunity to dial down the tension of our everyday lives.   These days  everyone is under so much stress that I think we all desperately need to step off the treadmill from time to time and take a deep breath.

Oh WOW that's a lovely scenic view!  The boat's wake is just visible enough to appreciate the motion of the boat!  Beautiful sunset colors.  And you're right . . . people are under stress and these are the nice things we can appreciate.  Thanks!

Yes, this is the Hudson at it's best.  I love the color of the sky.  It gives such a peaceful feeling to that boar.  Nice shot.

Hi Jon, I was jealous of the people on the boat.  It just looked like such an ideal way to spend a Friday night. 

Hi Carla, Thanks.  The boat was there at just the right time.  A few minutes later and it would have been too dark to really capture the boat.  It was a lovely sunset.   That's the thing about living on the east side of the Hudson is that it serves up an amazing sunset every single night. 

Hi Debbie, The sky was just really great for taking pictures.  The timing was right for the sky and the boat...and for me who happened to be there as the sun was setting....with a camera. 

Hi Jeanne and Ralph, The sunsets on the Hudson are really spectacular.  Rarely is there a "bad view".

Hi Barbara - I'm trying to...weekends tend to be work-oriented though.
