Businesses getting together and networking for a day at the beautiful Ct Convention Center. The event started at 9am with a ribbon cutting ceremony that included local politicians and volunteers. Seminars were held throughout the day that offered helpful information about networking, websites, starting a business, social networking and much, more.
The Hartford Business Journal, who sponsored this event, was interviewing and taking videos of small business owners. They are celebrating 20 years of continued business, this year. Congratulations!
Brad Davis hosted a talk radio interview with some of the vendors who had booths and sponsored the event on WDRC AM. He is amazing at what he does and has such positive energy. Good to watch and listen to.
On the floor, there were offers for free photos from photographers for Social Networks, like LinkedIn. There were coupon giveaways for Best Cleaners, Rock Cats Baseball posters, current schedules and a chance to win box seats! Panera Bread had many goodies that kept coming. Ramo Coffee (Omar's online office service) gave out delicious coffee. Kelly Girls had a booth and offered a coupon for an employer service. The Hartford Club offered chocolate treats that were amazing. I even found a frisbee for my black lab from Payhub.com. Klingman Foundation was there with one of their antique cars on display. Other companies, First Niagra Bank, Comcast, Cox, Dalene Flooring, offered their samples, their services, displayed their product and offered candy, too. Savings was offered to small businesses throughout the event.
Everyone seemed to benefit from this event. They said that the attendance was about 4,000 people. Good to know that businesses are out there networking and supporting eachother. Small businesses working together to improve our economy and community, locally!
