Ralph's random thoughts about life.........

It's kind of funny.

I think about our mortality as humans all the time. I think about the scenario if/when another close family member or friend of mine should pass before I do. And I find comfort knowing it is all in the master plan.

One thing we know for sure: We all pass. We all have our time. And since what we don't know is when and who will move on before whom, then it truly makes you appreciate EVERY day you have with those loved ones while they are still here, or while you are still here for that matter.

But the cool part is, for those that pass before us, they gift us their life experience and knowledge to carry on with us until the end of our journey. It's kind of like they've given us the remainder of water in their cantina for us to live from on the rest of our journey to our destination. And it would be a shame to waste that water, wouldn't it?

So be good to yourselves and those around you.  Cherish and use that water of life wisely that they've gifted to you to live a good life and help others with that gift when you can, because you want to have a nice cantina of life lessons, positive energy, and lessons of love to pass on when it's your time.

Much love,

The Ralphster

Very important to stop and smell the roses. Also, it is important to take good care of yourself--diet and exercise.

Ralph, one of the lines about life is one I like, "the one who lives well, dies well. The one who knows how to die, knows how to live!" Understanding this rythm makes life much more meaningful. Thanks for your words.

Life is indeed short and we will pass as others before us have done. We need to enjoy each day along this journey and leave a little map for those who will follow us.

Ralph, very touching.  We are all just fleeting moments in the huge time frame of life.  Having lost my Mother earlier this year, it has brought home to me our mortality and to try and enjoy more and worry less.  Hard to do but necessary.  I wrote a sad blog yesterday about the unexpected death of a young Marine who drowned in the ocean after graduating Boot Camp.  Although I didn't know him it is a constant reminder how vunerable we all are.  If you have time, please read it as I know you will relate. It is  called  Paradise in Disguise, A Life is Lost.  Thank you for sharing.
