I'm a Believer in the power of Active Rain
After a long hiatus, six months exactly, I am here to testify about the power of Active Rain. I did not realize it but those search engine trains, which I imagine look like small scrubbing bubbles from the cleanser product, continue working long after you have pushed the publish button and moved on with your life. I am by no means a techie but I did pick up a few things here and there, attending classes, webinars and reading other blogs.
Early on I was very fortunate in receiving some great advice about blogging. I was told to focus on specific communities, the buyers who entered Orangecrest Riverside, in the search engines, were more likely to purchase within two - three months as opposed to buyers entering Riverside, Ca. Well because of that advice many of my blogs were about restaurants, schools, shopping in the community of Orangecrest and a couple of other farms I prefer. I even titled the segment Local Flavor.
We all know the internet is world-wide and information you publish will remain floating in the cosmos forever. But imagine my surprise when I was contacted last month by a buyer seeking a Realtor specializing in her desired neighborhood of Orangecrest Riverside. She read several of the market reports I had written and wanted to meet with me. Wow... we had our buyer consultation later that week and after strenuous competition, this is a very desirable community, they are now in escrow on their dream home.
I received a second call from a seller who had also read my blogs about her community - Victoria Riverside. Even though I had not posted new material since January she was impressed by knowledge of the community and its rich history. We are currently staging her home and will be unveiling the new listing next week.
Well as you can imagine with my last closing I immediately re-activated my rainmaker account, paying for the year and I plan to take advantage of the Active Rain muscle.
I'm back and boy am I a believer!
