The faces, no make that voices of Georgia Power at Lake Sinclair. I have been thinking about the businesses I want to feature for this months' Localism posts and when this morning I had to answer a question for a buyer that showed the 350 contour in two different places on a plat I couldn't answer that question without the help of "one of the Georgia Power ladies".
With many of the properties in our area being Georgia Power lease lots, strip leases or residential access leases time and time again I have to call either Judy Crawford or Alisa Crudup and get answers. You would think that listing agents would do their job and get the facts of the property accurate, but that's not always the case. Recently a listing that one of my agents wrote an offer on was listed in the MLS as fee simple. One quick phone call to Georgia Power proved otherwise. It was a strip lease. Our buyer was not concerned, and went forward with their offer, but it's a game changer for some buyers.
And today when I had two questions... one about the second line on a plat and one about fencing on Georgia Power owned properties I picked up the phone and immediately Judy went and pulled the file and answered both my questions. Those ladies have NEVER let me down. Now I don't have a photo of either of them. But I can promise if you call them they will be smiling when you are talking to them. You can always tell when someone is smiling when they are helping you. You can also tell when someone seems annoyed by your phone call and request for help and I've never ever had that attitude from the ladies at the Georgia Power Land Development office.
So if you ever need questions answered about Georgia Power Lease lots call and talk to Judy or Alisa. They rock!
