“I will not put myself in a position to be an unhappy person.” Very strong words considering my headline for this post is really negative, and you clicked on it. Negativity sells, and it is amazing how much energy is drained from you when you are around negative people. Try reading the opening line a few times, and you will see all those negative people you are around and clients you are trying to please.
This is not just for real estate agents, but for anyone that takes the time
to read this. Why are you trying to seek approval from negative people? Okay tell you what I’ll do, let’s take a trip to Transylvania and try to find Count Dracula, all he does is bite you on the neck and takes enough blood to help the Red Cross. At least the trip will have a positive outcome, and away from Energy Vampires.
Do you really want to be around, or work with negative people? Guess what, maybe you attract that type of person or people because you are a negative person, or allow negativity to suck your energy dry. Maybe you are seeking approval, or just trying to keep the peace. Your good intentions do not matter if it is one way, time to fire some people, because futility leads to insanity.
If you are a quick learner, like I had to become, you’ll see the light-bulb go
off……and if you are dense and do not see it, well, must be nice to have twinkling eyes….( a little humor). Since I have moved back to Philadelphia, PA many years ago, I had to let go of people I grew up with, clients, blood relatives, and many others that drain the heck out of you, and life since then has been great!
