Fort Wayne First Time Home Buyer's Guide - Step 5 - The Offer Is Accepted.  NOW WHAT??

Well, we wrote the offer and it was accepted.  Yay!

NOW WHAT??

1.  Meet with your lender to start the loan process.  You have X amount of days to do this.

2.  Call an inspector to get the inspection scheduled.  It is YOUR choice which inspector you use or to even have an inspection at all.  We advise all of our buyers to get one, but have had a few that didn't.  Oh, and we will provide you with a list of local inspectors.  You have X amount of days to have this done.

3.  Take a breath.

Those are the first three things that need to be done.

We let our buyers know that we order title work, survey and home warranty (if applicable), and the lender orders the appraisal.

It normally takes 30-45 days to close once we get the offer accepted.

Next Up:  The Inspection!

Step 1:  Get Pre-Approved.

Step 2:  Meet With Us.

Step 3:  Look At Homes.

Step 4:  Write The Offer!

EXPERIENCE & INTEGRITY - WE TAKE THE HIGH ROAD

These are some great tips to share.  First time buyers want to rush to buy without checking items out.  We always have to slow them down a little to explain the options/choices.

This is a great leaning blog series. I was thinking about this blog post today on the way home from a home builders open house. I was wondering what I could write on.

Thanks for stopping by everybody.

Sussie:  There are so many topics to write a series about!  Home Buying.  Home Selling.  New Construction.  Or how about one that talks about selling a home, and those sellers becoming buyers?  Maybe talk about all of the steps you do to coordinate both transactions?

Jared, It is surprising how many times a buyer really doesn't know what to do after the contract is accepted, even though his/her agent has gone over and over it.  It's an exciting time and difficult to focus.
