A TALE OF TWO CONDOS:WEDNESDAYS AT WORLDGATE, HERNDON, VA MAY 9, 2012
Don't get to do as much reading-and responding-as I'd like to these days, but what a nice surprise awaited me when I read Nancy's most recent post. I really liked that she saw-and wrote about it as a buyer would, it just hit me differently than most of these do. Thanks Nancy!!
A TALE OF TWO CONDOS
WEDNESDAYS AT WORLDGATE
MAY 9, 2012
I previewed two condos today. They are both one bedroom homes in the same building, on the same floor at the same price.
Condo #1 was vacant. The carpet appeared to be in decent shape but was in need of a good vacuuming and quite possibly a cleaning. The walls were dingy and looked as if paint had not touched them in quite a while. I initially thought it was a decent unit at a decent price...
then I went into the other condo.
As I walked into condo #2, I smelled the new carpet. Then I noticed how nicely decorated the home was. There was enough furniture to make it appealing but not to much to make it look cluttered. I took in the warm, neutral colors they had put on the walls. It was over....I was enchanted. The only thing missing was the smell of the cookies in the oven which was probably a good thing because I would have written an offer and I'm not even in the market to buy a home!
Are you thinking about selling your home quickly and for the most money? Emulate condo #2. People will buy when they can see themselves in the home and feel happy there.
I've chosen not to include links or actual pictures to protect the innocent but if you'd like to see the condo that had me at hello, please feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to see it again...I mean show to you...that is, if it's still available.
