Silverton Farmers Market
The market is open 9 am – 1 pm every Saturday in Town Square Park. The market features produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, coffee, jam & jelly, and more. www.silvertonfarmersmarket.org

June at Lunaria Gallery
June – July 2, “Honoring the Vessel” is a collaboration between ceramist Julie Huisman, with her new ceramic miniatures and painter Theresa Sharrar.  The upstairs show at the gallery is  “Enchanted Garden” featuring spring in Silverton.

Original Painting & Print Art Show & Sale

June 2 through 30 - “Barbara Bassett’s paintings are a wonderful pairing of abstract and realistic styles”, says Gordon House General Director Molly Murphy.  Bassett’s show will be on display for the entire month to be sure everyone has time to visit and enjoy Wright’s only Oregon building through the eyes of artist Bassett.  The house is open almost every day from 12 noon to 4 p.m. with reservations.  Guided tours are $10 per person.  Art show admittance is $3, and Gordon House members are free.

Boot Camp for Dads-to-Be
June 13, 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Silverton Hospital Birth Center. Are you about to become a dad for the first time? Are you a little unsure of what is coming next? Silverton Together has designed a two hour workshop just for you with instructor Larry Kramer.  Fee is $15 per family which includes a free massage for the mom-to-be.  Scholarships are available. Parade of Pets 2012 Pet Photo Contest –Postmark deadline is June 16!
Submit photos of your favorite pets for this 2nd annual pet photo contest to benefit the educational programs of the Silverton Arts Association. Celebrate the bond we have with our feathered and furry friends! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes will be awarded in adult and children’s categories, as well as “People’s Choice” and “Silverton Pet Parade” for photos taken at the pet parade. All of the photos will be displayed next to the Coffee Station, on South Water Street, in late June and July. Please send up to two 4x6 prints per entry with $5 fee and completed application form (available by emailing info@silvertonarts.org ). Be sure to mark the back of your prints with your name, adult or child, address, phone and email if available. Photos will not be returned, but copyright remains the property of the artist. SAA reserves the right to reproduce photos in conjunction with the show.

Free workshop – Outdoor Painting with Peter Fox
Please join Silverton Arts Association for a FREE outdoor painting workshop! Overcome your fears about painting outdoors! Plein Air artist Peter Fox will be giving a demonstration and providing valuable information on how to go about painting in the great outdoors. Join in or simply observe as we go over a step-by-step method for success. We will meet at the Silverton Arts Association Art Center building (303 Coolidge St) on Saturday June 16th at 9:00 am. June 16, 1-2 pm Bring your dog to the Bobby statue next to Silverton Coffee Station, 206 S. Water St.  Celebrate Bobbie "The Wonder Dog" with a costume contest, triathlons for dogs and other doggy contests. Prizes awarded.  Fresh hot popcorn on sale - $1 to benefit the Silverton Mural Society.

Hawaiian Luau at MillTown Pub

3rd Annual East Valley Wine Fest featuring Vitis Ridge at St. Josef's Winery in Canby
Saturday, June 16th,  Noon to 6pm - 12 Artisan Vintners  -  Meet The Winemakers & Judge the Wines. Guests receive a commemorative logo glass, hours of live music and access to some of Oregon's great winemakers and grape growers. Each winery will offer tastes of their latest wines while area restaurants offer a variety of delicious foods. Vote for your favorite wines and bestow the People's Choice award on a lucky few! Silverton Hills Strawberry Festival Sunday June 17
11 am - 5 pm Celebrate Father’s Day at the annual Silverton Hills Strawberry Festival in Coolidge McClaine Park with strawberries, biscuit, and ice cream plus a free second helping of berries. Cost is $5; children under 2 & adults over 80, free.  Live music featuring Dusty Springs, and Willamette Valley Boys. Also serving BBQ ribs from the Wooden Nickel, beer & wine.

The Silverton Hills Strawberry Festival is a Homer Davenport Days Community Festival fundraising event.

The Gordon House Celebrates Frank Lloyd Wright’s 145th Birthday
Saturday, June 23, 10 – 4 The Gordon House, designed by world renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, will host a special celebration on Saturday, June 23, to commemorate what would have been the month of Wright’s 145th birthday.  You’re invited to tour and enjoy his only building in Oregon forty-eight years after it was built as Wright’s example of the only truly American architectural style.

Silverton Elks 1st Annual Chili Cook-off
Come Celebrate the 4th of July at the Elks, 300 High St. We’re planning a party for the whole family. It will be loads of fun if you like pickin’ n grinin’ with some Blue Grass Bands and the launch of the very first annual Silverton Elks Chili Cook-off.

Enter your chili and compete for the best chili in Silverton braggin’ rights and a nice trophy to boot. Cook fires will be lit at 10 am, judging starts at 2 pm. The Elks will have their food booth open for those whose stomach is a mite touchy. There will be games for the kids.

Pick a theme for your chili and win a prize for the most creative presentation. July 3rd Celebration, Concert & Fireworks at The Oregon Garden, presented by Wave Broadband.
Join us for family activities, bounce houses and a cider festival starting at 2pm, a concert featuring Ben Rue, Pickwick and The Portland Cello Project at 6pm and fireworks at 10pm. Free Garden admission for Silverton residents/Garden members, $5 for the concert. Regular Garden admission for all other attendees, includes concert. oregongarden.org
