Today I took a much needed day away. My office was covered and I had my cell phone and did manage to do a work around for a buyer who could no attend a closing tomorrow. He went today to sign his documents at the attorneys office. I also did a full day of shopping. There's father's day on Sunday and my Abigail is having a birthday next week. Of course I also got some office supplies for the office as well.
And when I arrived home I was just too tired to cook and so we headed out to downtown Milledgeville for one of my favorite places to eat. And what a treat. It was lady's night and my drinks, dinner and dessert were all 20% off. I had teriyaki shrimp and Donald had hibachi steak and shrimp. But we did save room for dessert tonight. It's my favorite thing and I always eat every bite and well... I don't share. I had crème brûlée and Donald had tempura deep fried ice cream. I did share one bite just so I could taste a bite of his ice cream. Both were delicious. We even had to inquire as to what was in the sauce on his ice cream. Kahlua was the "secret" ingredient.
The service is always wonderful at Asian Bistro and Grill and it was delightfully so again this evening. And I always enjoy walking around down town in the evening and window shopping too. If you haven't tried Asian Bistro and Grill you should. And right now.... Wednesday is a great night for the ladies to eat there. It was a hot day, but the evening walk downtown was quite nice. And now I'm home with my shopping done and watching the end of the of 1966 season of Dark Shadows. The puppies are hanging out and the kitties are occassionally stopping by for a pet and scratch behind the ear.
Tomorrow it's back to business as usual and there is a lot of business going on at Lane Realty at Lake Sinclair. It was the first day in 8 days I hadn't been showing property today. So tomorrow I'll get back at it, but today... today was almost perfect. In fact I'd go so far as to say the crème brûlée was perfect. You've just got to try it.
