Farm fresh fruits and vegetables everywhere and at the local farmers markets many have just been picked unlike at the grocery store where they have been shipped, stored and end up with short shelf lives and because of this many fruits and vegetables have been robbed of their flavor and nutrients.

So support your local farmers and you and your children benefit, the pick your own fields are a great learning experience for your children they get hands on learning of where their food comes from.
