Forgiveness of Debt Act, Short Sale and Strategic Default

By
Real Estate Agent with exp realty of California, Inc. DRE 01489731

The Forgiveness of Debt Act is set to expire at the end of 2012 and some folks are deciding to short sale now just in case they do not extend the forgiveness. If you would like more information on what a short sale is or if your thinking about doing a strategic default, please call or email my office: 925-997-5758 or ShannonCoeTeam@gmail.com. The consultation is free and if you decide to do the short sale the bank pays for all the fees and may even give the seller funds to move.

Hi Shannon, I still cannot believe Congress will not extend now that banks are finally "getting it".

Shannon - I have not been able to find out if the Legislature is even considering and extension of the Forgiveness of Debt Act. This crazy. This is like taxing air because you breath

I'm not sure why we are all surprised that Congress has not extended this important Legislation yet.  They haven't managed to do anything else, including passing a budget yet either.  Not sure what they're getting paid for.
