An Old-Fashioned Garden- An Inspiration
Here is an invitation....It is early morning on this sweet summer’s day here in Asheville. The sky is that unique blue known here as Carolina Blue, and we are beginning to see our efforts to co-create an old-fashioned garden come into focus...and, this Father's Day, I'd love to share this with you...
Over the years, we have arranged informally in the garden self seeding varieties for a traditional cottage garden. Every Mother’s Day we plant annuals. Doing, and looking forward to doing this each year is a celebration repeated on Father’s Day, in a long-standing ceremony with us. It seems only to enhance the expectation of welcoming the perennials- flowers and bulbs, the flowering shrubs, the yellow rose that marks a certain vista, to arrive in a colorful display...and, yes, it coincides with our fondness for sustaining beauty.
GARDEN VIDEO: Here are a few of favorites you may be able to see if you look closely as you walk with me around the garden: Lavender, Old-fashioned Bleeding Heart, Daisies. ..and there is a SURPRISE at the close of this 1.22 seconds……Let me know if you spot it<G>
