Kicking Off Summer with the free Concerts in the Park Series
Summer has arrived but rather than considering Memorial day as the official start of summer, for me it's the Summer Concert series. This is the 17th season of Summer Concerts in the Park which kicks-off on Friday June 25th.
I received a call the other day asking when I would post the free concert schedule. Enjoying my role as your ever vigilant Realtor seeking fun events and activities to share in my "Local Flavor" blog, I was happy to comply.
Well by popular request I am providing the schedule for our Free Summer Concerts in the Park event located at California Citrus State Historic Park. Those of you already familiar with the venue know the park is designed to resemble a 1900's city park, featuring an amphitheater, picnic area and museum. Over twenty acres of a thriving grove producing oranges, lemons, grapefruits continues to supple the local community.
The concerts feature a wide variety of music from the turn of the century, jazz, swing, big band and more. Just imagine relaxing on a blanket surrounded by beautiful nature, distant mountains and enjoying the wonderful music.
Enjoy a nostalgic walk down memory lane, or an introduction to "quieter times in parks at the turn of the century."
Every Friday evening, beginning at 6:30 pm from June 25 - July 23 the free event, with free parking, will be held in front of the amphitheater. Attendee's relax on the spacious green lawn with blankets, chairs and coolers (no alcohol allowed.)
June 25 - Riverside Concert Band
July 2 - Dan Damon & The Dazzling Duo
July 9 - Royal Garden Dixie
July 16 - Barndoor Bluegrass
July 23 - Coyote Creek Ramblers.
