Just one more time....how many of you are ready for an emergency or worse yet...a disaster.

Once again we have severe weather coming at us (not a for sure thing) So my I checked out our emergency supplies.

Fresh drinking water...enough for a week at least.
Non-Potable water
Flash lights and batteries
Generator started and runs
Gasoline for generator.
Clothing
Money
Valuables in the safe  (I didn't say which one or where)
Food, enough for over a week
medications
cleaning supplies

The list goes on and on.

We have emergency supplies in several places just in case one area gets hit and the supplies can't be used.   Most of our readiness is really for power outages, but even a disaster could happen and we are ready also.

I have seen the devastation first hand, and most people can't even tell you where they have a flashlight.

BE SMART...BE PREPARED!!!  If not for you and your family...maybe for a friend or neighbor!

Good advice William.  For us it's the hurricanes, but the same preparations apply.  That is one scary picture in your post.

Good advice for every family.  Too many of us are not well prepared for emergencies.

Have an outstanding week with your camera in hand.

Bill, I hope those nasty storms miss you. Great reminder that we need to be prepared, I do know where the flashlight is, but beyond that.... not so much. Ask me in the winter, I am far more prepared.

That picture gave me a chill.

We did just fine last night, but a few friends of mine didn't.  Not severe, but no power now going on 16 hrs.  I set up a generator and got them drinking water.  They used to laugh at me.
