I used to watch this program about surgery. Every week, they would film a surgery and have a warning that proceed at your own risk. Well all that did was make it more intriguing. So I tune in. It is real time surgery and the camera goes right to where they make the incision...WHOA. I had trouble focusing, but stayed with it
I COULD DO IT...BUT I WOULDN'T CHARGE FOR IT
Now I kept wondering if I had to do this, could I? It is simple enough. You take a scalpel and you cut. Not too deep or you slice into arteries and organs...Just enough to get past the 7 layers of skin. The blood coming out is a huge distraction, but it can be controlled and dispensed with. I could do this, but it is not my calling. You wouldnt want me doing this either
A COMMITMENT TO YOUR PROFESSION
Going through the motions without having a true connection to it doesn't come across well. There are so many variables and dynamics that can morph into complications and tangents. You have to have a connection or desire to what you are doing so that everyone benefits from the interaction. You must care and commitment is part of that
PEOPLE COMMITTED GET BETTER RESULTS
Why isn't it any different for any profession. I have seen bus drivers, waitresses, Real Estate agents, city personnel, and sales people etc who love their jobs and demonstrate it as they go. The wanting to do it and liking it factor... is what makes it all work so well.
