Something that I see quite often is dryers being vented in close proximity to the outside air conditioning condenser. The dryer vent at this Chesapeake home inspection was located just to the right of the condenser. You can see in the second picture that the fins are clogged with dryer lint. This will decrease the efficiency of your system. Also if you are using dryer softener sheet these chemicals may react with the metals in the unit causing deterioration. If the vent location cannot be moved it would be prudent to add an extension to get the vent termination away from the area around your condenser.
