May 2012 Real Estate Market Update
In January – May of this year, there were 34 single family home sales in DuPont. This is down from this same time last year where there were 54 homes sales. However the average sales price increased slightly from $288,475 to $295,482 for the same time periods.
There is a demand for buyers in DuPont but home prices have fluctuated minimally throughout the last several years. DuPont has proven to be a stable market in average price but not in the number of home sales. There are qualified buyers however these savvy buyers are not considering homes with over-inflated listing prices. Sellers still need to price appropriately for the market, stage their homes to sell, and have dynamic marketing.

Northwest Landing in Dupont, WA is located just minutes from Joint-Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) on the west side of Interstate 5.
Northwest Landing is still expanding and growing, and when fully built out, there will be approximately 12,000 homes. The residential section of Northwest Landing consists of single family homes, condos, townhomes as well as rental apartments and 55+ housing.

- Many homes have front porches with garages in alleys so cars won’t hit pedestrians while backing out.
- Multifamily housing is designed to look like the single family homes, and blends in with the neighborhood.
