Whistler real estate market update

Good afternoon from Whistler. I hope everyone is enjoying the week so far!

This weekend sees 16,000 people registered in the “Tough Mudder” come to town. The Tough Mudder is a military style 10 mile run that takes participants through a series of obstacles. The top 5% of finishers are then qualified for the World’s Toughest Mudder in New Jersey in November. One of the great positives of an event of this size is the shoulder season stimulus that it generates. This weekend will be a busy one here in town and the race should prove to be quite the spectacle – If the current trend of wet weather continues, the MUD-der will live up to it’s reputation! www.toughmudder.com.

This past week brought 28 new listings, 14 price reductions and 15 sales to the Whistler real estate market compared to the previous week of 27 new listings, 9 price reductions and 12 sales.
