Dane County distressed property index falls again in May

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Preferred, Madison, Wisconsin

The Dane County Distressed Property Index was 24.8% in May. May was the fifth month in a row with a reading below 30%. Here's how the distressed property index has been trending since 2006.

This is a positive sign for our market, but we expect the index to remain at elevated levels through at least 2013. That's because Dane County foreclosures have been quietley increasing this year.

If you are interested in purchasing a distressed property, we have five foreclosure search tools to assist you with your bank owned (REO) and short sale property search. All five tools are available on our property search menu as well as our foreclosures menu at DaneCountyMarket.com.
