SPAM Surprise

SPAM Surprise is not a new recipe. Yesterday, as I was looking at my home page I saw a pleasant surprise -- 100 extra points added to my account from Active Rain with the message - Thank You For Being Our Eye in The Sky.

SPAM is burdensome, so if you see it as a comment on someone’s post -- report it. If you see it on your own posts, report it first and then delete. By the way, you will get ten points added to your account for reporting the SPAM and better yet we help rid the membership of the offending message. If you see a serial spammer -- highlight their member name and send it to Active Rain so the offending commenter can be deleted.

I try to report the spam too Michael. It seems like they hit usually after 5pm when everyone at AR has probably gone home for the day.

Michael I love Spam it lets me know my information is getting out and at least someone gives feedback:)) I would prefer a listing request or a buyer representation request instead:))

Jim --- and the spammers seem to like featured posts too.

Endre -- a listing or a buyer request is definitely much better than SPAM.

Anna -- I've seen lots of posts on SPAM -- and the offenders seem to be more active sparodically.

Judi -- and of course, SPAM handbags.

Roger -- yeah, it's annoying but certainly nothing that should cause anyone to "freak out".

Belinda -- at least we have the option to report and/or delete -- maybe they will get the message.

Michael my friend, the spamer sure do become mighty busy in the community at times. There is a very easy thing that AR could do, that could put a stop to the spamers coming to the site for the most port. Glad you received such a nice message from AR.

Michael, I don't see as much as I used to see. And, there were many blogs written by some of those spammers....promptly reported to AR.

Hi Suzanne --- SPAM definitely seems to come and go -- not sure if there is an Active Rain life expectancy as far as SPAM is concerned.
