Things to do in Alameda:  Free Starlight Movies in the Park sponsored by the Alameda Recreation and Park Department start on Friday, June 22. at 8:15 pm at Alameda Point Multi-Purpose Field. The first movie of the summer season is Tintin.

Things to do in Alameda:  West Coast Dance Theatre will present the 39th annual musical dance production “Dance to the Music” Friday, June 22,  and Saturday June 23 at the Kofman Auditorium, 2200 Central Avenue in Alameda.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.  for more information call 510-523-2828.

Things to do in Alameda:  Summer Sailstice at theEncinal Yacht Club will take place this weekend, Saturday, June 23 starting at 11 am to 7 pm.  This is the 12th year the Encinal Yacht Club has hosted this family friendly event at the Club at
1251 Pacific Marina in Alameda.

Things to do in Alameda:  Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid will be back with more food trucks on June  23, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco.  Eight to ten trucks will including CupKates, Docs on the Bay, Curry Up Now, Mayo & Mustard, Senor Sisig, LIBA Falafel, Suzie Q’s, We Sushi and Seoul on Wheels.  Yum Yum!

Things to do in Alameda:  The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public every Saturday and Tuesday morning from 9am to 1pm, rain or shine.  Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits and vegetables.  The market is at Webster Street and Haight Avenue.

Alameda Walks!  On July 7 at 9 am walkers will meet at the Tidewater Aquatic Center to hear about the new center and to walk to Martin Luther King Shoreline Park nearby.  Meet at the Aquatic Center at 4675 Tidewater Avenue over the High Street Bridge in Oakland.

Alameda Museum Lecture Series will feature Grant Ute who will speak about local transportation and his new book A Century of Public Transportation in San Francisco on Thursday, June 26 .

Alameda Meals on Wheels 16th Annual Community Faire & Wine Tasting Fundraiser on Sunday, July 15 from 1 to 5 pm at Rock Wall Wine Company at 2301 Monarch Street at Alameda Point.
