Benefits of the Apprentice Mentor Program

It’s important to affiliate ourselves with top producers.  If you hang-out with the top producers, you’re going to be a top producer.  If you hang-out with people who aren’t very active in the business, that’s probably where you’re going to be.  So it’s all about affiliating with people who are where you want to be, and where you want to go.

We recommend participating in a formal Apprentice Mentor Program.  For the apprentice, ask yourself “What would you like to learn?”,  “What can you contribute?”  You can just ask yourself those questions.  For  mentors – “What can you teach to others? “.

Each of us can be an apprentice and we can each be a mentor because even the people who are top producers in the business have a coach.  They have a mentor.  They have someone they’re learning from.  Even somebody who has just started out in the business can teach somebody else what they have learned; so we can all be a teacher and a student in various ways.

It’s a win-win program both for the apprentice and the mentor.

Apprentice Benefits:

·    On-the-job training program (no cost to you)
·    Learn from an experienced pro
·    Affiliate with top producers

Mentor Benefits:

·    Get assistance with tasks
·    Give back to others
·    Make a positive impact on our industry

At California Coast & Country Homes, we have a formal mentor program.

Stay tuned for the details of our 90-day program!

Hi Regina - Mentoring is one of the best ways to help newbies get established and gain competence and confidence, and it's very rewarding for both parties. We have an informal mentoring program here on AR as well - it's at the Sensei/Grasshopper group, if you haven't run across it.
