This MLS Photo Freaks Me Out!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with American Foursquare Realty RM423982

This may just be the freakiest MLS photo I've ever seen!  A doll slightly scarier than Chuckey, doing a Linda Blair head spin.  Why, oh why would someone post this as a marketing photo on the MLS?

While photos don't sell homes, they do create showings.  And showings sell homes.  I'd be afraid to go see this one!

Richard, it's actually kind of funny in a weird way. Not my style.

Have a good Sunday!

Richard.... what are agents thinking when they do things like that.... I guess that represents "creativity??"

Hi Richard - Extremely creepy. I once showed a home that had over 400 of those, all over the home and in all sizes. The buyers freaked immediately and left, but I went through the whole house to verify my suspicion that every single room was packed with them.

I completely agree! Even if the photo didn't freak you out, why distract from the room you're trying to sell. That said, I don't think I could sleep in the house with that doll!

I don't care about the dolls themselves, but they seem to take up 25% of the low quality photo. What stands out to be ( other than the dark photo), is that shag carpet that looks so loose you could trip over it.

NOTHING and I mean NOTHING creeps me out like dolls.  And these two will give me nightmares just thinking about them.  No way would I ever show this house.  And if this is the best the house has to offer.....Yowza !!!!!

Haven't seen you around for awhile.  Hope all's okay.  And the photo is hilarious.   What were they thinking?  Perhaps, and obvioiusly, they weren't.

That's just freaky (not to mention really bad business).   But then who knows....maybe the client loves her dolls and wanted to showcase them more than the home?

Wow... that is really creepy... It's the kind of home that I would feel creeped out in if I there alone and late at night.    I feel bad for the guy (Dick Greenberg) from above after reading about his traumatic experience...

I did a search on my local MLS and I was shocked at how many aweful photos I saw in seconds... I actually did a post on it: Fantastically Awful MLS Photos

I hope it gives you guys a chuckle...
