Watching a bee in search of pollen on blooming plants is fascinating. They work non-stop to gather what they need and don't seem to mind the interloper with the camera trying to catch them at work. These bees were at work at Greenspring Gardens in Annandale VA.

Well that's very nice close-up photography. Bee keeping and hiring bee keepers is becoming a popular hobby with many eco-urban dwellers in this neck of the woods. I'd keep them except I'm allergic to bee stings. btw-our honey bees have more yellow than yours. Unless that's a bumble bee?

Great bees photos and the flowers are pretty too. thanks for sharing. I like to take pictures of bees as their coloring is great but I really don't like them because they sting.
