Going Bananas in Port Charlotte Florida

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

I must admit I'm not much of a gardner. However, here in Port Charlotte Florida you can grow just about anything. Moreover, you can do it year round. From tropical fruit to tomatoes or maybe even strawberries and bananas you don't have to have a green thumb. Here's a picture of a bunch of bananas fhat we grew.

Also here is a picture of another banana tree growing in this year. This new tree will bear fruit later on this year. Often, we make a lot of banana bread or give a bunch a way to the neighbors. The fact that you can grow tropical fruit here sets it apart from the northern climates. The supreme court is supposed to make a decision about healthcare sometime this week. In the meantime I think I'll just stick to growing healthy food. Maybe that will help. We love it here in Port Charlotte Florida. If you're looking to buy a house give me a call.

Just wanted to let you know the banana's look great. We have a apple tree and a pear tree that aren't doing so well this year. Its quite dry here in Arizona, as you may know or can imagine. Thank you for your blog I enjoyed reading it.

Hi Tamara,

Florida is more known for it's oranges etc. We often see huge trucks going down the road carrying loads of Oranges to the Tropicana Plant. Like you many people here grow all kinds of citrus trees, Limes, Oranges, Lemons to name a few. Pears, Apples and Peaches are popular to. We have had a lot of rain here this week because of the Topical storm in the Gulf. Like you we needed the rain badly...but I am ready to get back to sunshine and blue skies again. Thanks for posting and good luck to you and your Brokerage...Wayne
