Join Bellaire’s Fourth of July celebration with a parade and festival in Bellaire Town Square.  The festivities begin with a parade of local school bands, floats, scout troops and classic cars on July 4th at 9:30 a.m.

Awards will be given to the top floats keeping with the parade theme of “Let Freedom Ring.”

The Big Parade will start at the corner of Mapleridge and Bellaire Boulevard. The parade will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.

The Children’s Parade, co-sponsored by the Bellaire Optimist Club, will start off the event and lead the Big Parade. Children can decorate their bikes and trikes and walk/ride in the parade. There is no charge for participation in the Children’s parade. Children meet at the Community National Bank parking lot on the Bellaire Boulevard side between 8:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The Children’s Parade will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. from the Bellaire Blvd. entrance in front of CNB, continue down South Rice Ave and stop near Condit Elementary School.

For those would like to be judged for the Let Freedom Ring decorating contest in the Children’s Parade, be sure to arrive by 9 a.m. for judging before the parade starts.

The festivalwill be located in Bellaire Town Square immediately following the parade.

Children and adults will enjoy a variety of live music and entertainment plus lots of games and food for sale. The stage will be located in the Great Lawn this year, weather permitting, so residents are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit and enjoy the music. Attractions include a dunk booth, mini-Ferris wheel, moonwalk, Putt-Putt course, obstacle course, joust, petting zoo, rock wall, storytelling and carnival games.  Admission to the festival is free but tickets must be purchased for games.
