After reading an article in the OC Register about Orange County Home Sales increasing 17% this month, I decided to check and see how our little beach town, San Clemente, CA compares with the rest of the county. It turns out San Clemente single family home sales are up a whopping 54% compared to last year!!! That’s 37% higher than home sales in the county!
I checked the inventory in San Clemente as well and found that even though home sales are up, the number of single family homes on the market is down 31%! The simple law of Supply & Demand may be an indication that home prices are soon to go up in our sleepy beach town. With the dwindling distressed market and an increase in buyers looking for homes in San Clemente there just isn’t enough inventory on the market right now.
