Shippan Point 5th Annual KIC IT Triathlon

The race begins with a swim in Long Island Sound at 6:30 a.m. We can expect bike riders in Shippan beginning around 7:00 a.m. During that time, streets will be CLOSED. If you need to be out of Shippan during this time, please leave before 6:30 a.m. If you have a true emergency during this time and need assistance, please dial 911.

In past years, the bulk of the riders have been out of Shippan in 40 minutes or less, with a few stragglers exiting as late as 8:30 a.m. The Stamford Police Department has informed us that the streets will be re-opened when it is safe to do so. Last year, our streets were "closed" for less than 40 minutes, with limited ingress/egress during the rest of the time.

This race benefits Kids in Crisis, an organization providing assistance to children, teens and parents dealing with any type of abuse and neglect. Let's be kind and courteous to the riders and show them what a great neighborhood this is!
