Morris County's Most Amazing Veterinarians at Rockaway Animal Hospital

Recently our beloved dog Lucy became very ill with Pancreatitis and tore her ACL. We brought her to the Rockaway Animal Hospital, now owned by Dr. Sanam Maniar and Dr. Erin Maniar.

Not only did I instantly love Dr. Maniar, but Lucy who usually has to be sedated and muzzled took an instant liking to him and had no problem letting him evaluate her. That in itself is a miracle!

Lucy spent the next 8 days with Dr. Maniar who restored her to health, calling us daily, 2-3 times with progress reports. Moreover, whenever I called, he spoke with me directly or got back to me within the hour reassuring me that she was calm, out of pain and on the road to recovery.

I have never met a kinder, more compassionate, dedicated veterinarian (and I’ve known many) than Dr. Sanam Maniar. Not only does he provide the finest veterinarian care you could ask for, at the most reasonable prices, he provides nervous parents complete peace of mind.

Since Lucy’s recovered from the Pancreatitis, Dr. Maniar is using laser therapy in conjunction with medication to build scar tissue, strengthening her ACL. Not only is Lucy walking better every day, she no long shakes in terror when going to the vet. That is nothing short of a miracle and has alleviated all the stress I used to endure taking Lucy to the vets.

If you live in the Morris County area and are looking for exceptional veterinarian care, call the Rockaway Animal Hospital at 973-627-0789 or visit their  website. You won’t find a more amazing, caring, dedicated veterinarian who understands how stressful it is for animals and their parents when they have to visit the vets.

Rockaway Animal Hospital is located at Rt. 46 East, Rockaway, NJ 07866

John - Lucy was really sick and Dr. Maniar is the most wonderful vet I've ever had the pleasure of taking my dog to. He lives to help animals and I'm so grateful to have found him!

Thank Anita and now going to the vets isn't stressful because Dr. Maniar takes amazing care of all his patients and they all LOVE him!

Robert - this is the first vet I've met who really is 100% committed to healing animals and doesn't pad the bill with a million different unnecessary tests. I was shocked (in a good way) when I got the bill. He took such great care of Lucy you would think she was his dog! Everyone should have a vet like Dr. Maniar!

GF - she is smiling, lol! I had to bring her back for a check up and she walked right up to Dr. Maniar and gave him a kiss as she wagged her tail! Need I say more?!

Sharron - thank you for all your support while Lucy's been sick and I'm so relieved to have her home with us! However, knowing she was in the best place with the best vet (Dr. Maniar) gave me and my family peace of mind during her long stay at the Rockaway Animal Hospital.

Thank you Doug and I'm telling everyone I know about our wonderful new vet Dr. Maniar! He is so dedicated to helping animals as is his entire staff at the Rockaway Animal Hospital. I met briefly with his wife (also a vet) and she too is just as wonderful as Dr. Manier. They make an amazing team!

Debb - you're exactly right about dogs being so intuitive. Lucy immediately trusted Dr. Maniar and that has never happened since she was born. She is a high anxiety/high stress dog and having a vet who she loves and trusts from the moment she met tells me what a special veterinarian Dr. Maniar is along with the whole staff at Rockaway Animal Hospital.

Alexandra - woudn't it be great if we could clone Dr. Maniar?! His dedication to healing animals and comforting their nervous parents is a dream come true for owners of dogs with issues like Lucy. No longer do I dread taking her to the vets!

Craig - I wish all dog and cat owners had their own Rockaway Animal Clinic but for anyone in Morris County I highly suggest they make an appointment to meet with Dr. Maniar. He truly is 1 in a million!

Debbie - I plan on doing more posts on the Rockaway Animal Clinic and Dr. Maniar. I know so many people who wish they had better veterinary care without having to take a second mortgage out on their home to pay the bill. I've had many dogs and searched many vets and finally found the most caring dedicated vet! Lucy is now a lifelong patient of Rockaway Animal Hospital!

Hi Kristine, I am so delighted for you and Lucy. I too have had that kind of experience with the veterinary Oncologist that kept my little CeCe alive for 2 and half quality years beyond what was projected. Hang on to him. Some just have the gift of healing.

Kris, I am so happy to hear that Lucy is on the road to recovery.  It's tough to watch our furry friends when they're ill.  Great shout out to the vet!

Thank you everyone so much for all your comments. The Rockaway Animal Hospital deserves the biggest shout out for their dedication to animals, exceptional veterinarian care and extremely reasonable prices. Our pets are like our family so when you find an amazing vet who has dedicated his whole life to saving and caring for animals you have to share it with everyone you know! If my Lucy loved him at first site Dr. Manair has to be a really special veterinarian because she's a tough patient.  My first vet told me to put her down because she showed signs of aggression. I left and never looked back. She does have issues but we've worked through most of them and she is the most amazing, sweet and loyal girl.  We would do anything for her which is why we are so happy she now has the best Vet bar none!

Liz - that's a great idea and since I'm a member of Angie's List I'll have to find out if the Rockaway Animal Hospital is on their list. If not they should be and I'll be the first to give them a perfect score!

Kristine - I'm so relieved to hear about the happy ending!  Really glad Lucy is back on her four paws and doing so well.  People like Dr. Manair of Rockaway Animal Hospital are truly one in a million.  It truly is fate that you found such a great Vet right when you needed one.  Give Lucy a big, sloppy, wet kiss for me!

Thank you Terrie - while Lucy is better from the Pancreatic, she has two torn ACLs in her hind legs. Thank God I have a vet who truly cares and is doing everything to get her up and walking again. She may need surgery on one or both legs so it's going to be a long time before life is normal again.

Sally - it is fate because I've never known a vet who cares so much about animals and Lucy loves him. Now I'm off to give Lucy a big fat kiss from you!

Jill - I can't say enough great things about Dr. Maniar and Rockaway Animal Hospital. The peace of mind her provides his patient's parents with is priceless! Having to leave her at the vets for 8 days was the hardest thing I've ever done, but Dr. Manier called me 3 times a day with updates letting me know she was comfortable, out of pain and on the way to a full recovery!

You are so, so lucky to find an outstanding vet! I've had great ones, and I've had poor ones, and when you have one who is "right" - boy, does that make all the difference in the world! Glad to hear Lucy is on the mend, albeit one step at a time. Paw high fives from my pooches to Lucy!

Jeffrey - having a wonderful vet makes all the difference. I no longer have to drag Lucy in shaking and terrified. She wags her tail as soon as she sees Dr. Manier!

Mary - I know what you mean. I immediately left my first vet who cared for our Cocker Spaniel for 16 after bringing Lucy to see him when she was a pup and she tried to bite the tech. When the vet came in he told me I should put her down because she was a fear bitter and it was never going to change!

Joan - I'm just so glad I have a place to blog about Dr. Maniar for all the people who don't have great veterinarian care. He is the first vet who truly lives to help animals and isn't all about the money like so many vets out there!
