Bottom's Up!! Sometimes You Gotta Dive Right In!

Bottom's Up!

Sometimes You Gotta Dive Right In!

There are times when you just need to do what you need to do to make things happen.

Bottom's Up! Sometimes You Gotta Dive Right In! Up!!

It may be something that is within your comfort zone and skill set.

Or it might challenge you to expand your horizons and step outside what makes you feel good to a place that is a bit scary, requiring new skills.

Your current skills set may work perfectly for what you need or want to do.

And you may be perfectly adapted to where you are now. That feels good!

But sometimes we have to break away and try something new. Dramatic market shifts, different consumer behavior, and unforeseen problems often confront us when we least expect it.

Sometimes you just need to dive right in and go for it.

Bottom’s up!

Well said.  Great photo.  It is much better to attempt something big and fail than attempt something small and succeed.

Hey Jeff! Your duck photo looks just like the ducks we watched - and fed - at The Old Mill the other day while having lunch.  A perfect summertime photo.

Hi Jeff, No doubt in the world we live in today, the unexpected becomes the expected. The only way to determine the way forward is to " just do it" . We will learn the limitiations as we go and then the course needed to overcome them.

Hi Jeff,

Sometimes the blog creates the picture.
And sometimes the picture creates the blog.

I thought it had to do with drinking...

Jeff, That's probably about how we felt when we first started blogging a couple of years ago.  Jump in and go for it after watching for way too long.

Jeff,  I absolutely agree and in this age of technology, we must embrace all the new to keep up.  It still amazes me how many people I run into have no idea how to use a smartphone, a computer etc.

You certainly have to jump right in. Although being on the leading edge is always fleeting. Todays leading edge is tomorrows functionally obsolescent.

Interesting way to look at life . . . bottoms' up!!  Sometimes when we dive in, people might just see only our bottoms, but they don't have the view (or vision) that we have!!  Cute, illustrative post.

Hey Liz - good to hear from you. I remember the Old Mills - great place.

Charles - we all roll up the sleeves sometimes, don't we?

Thank you, Kwee. Same back at you!

You as well, Kathy. Still hoping we can get together - perhaps the next trip to Palm Desert.

William - "Just do it" is a good mantra to keep in mind.

Thanks for your thoughts, Ginny. It was a fun photo to capture.

Phil - and sometimes it does!!

BLiz - Interesting...I felt exactly the same way some years ago, and dove in without a clue. Still trying to figure it all out.

Jeff

Hi Jeff, Great picture! Ducks are so funny and very interesting to watch. We have a huge duck pond at our VA Hospital and I love to watch them. The geese come up and talk to me. I am never sure if they are greeting me or scolding me
