The researck Park currently has 22 technology and Research and development companies
that support 782 directly related jobs and 776 indirect jobs have been created by the effects
the tenants have on the surrounding community.
The over all impact to South Florida"s economy from the companies in the Research Park at
FAU will be $264,900,000 in 2012 and increase to $304,400,000 in 2016.

Technologies represente in the Research Park are varied and include : Engineering for
Aerospace and defense, Medical Imaging Technologies, Software Design, development and Architecture
The projected growth of these companies is expected to be 300% over the next year.
These projects indicate that there is demand for the products and services produced by these companies.
It is also an opportunity for Boca Raton to increase its capacity in High Tecnology with concurrent
future employment increases.

FAU"s new Medical School is expected to benefit from these technology companies.
One of the Researc Park companies is PSYGINEERING ,this company of engineering students
is developing a BRAIN-MACHINE interface platform taht uses brain-wave emmissions to control
electro-mechanical devices and provide neuro-feedback analyses.
Another exciting technology emerging is from LINGUA-SYS, it is the next generation of
language translation software companies . Their newest product is TGMOBILE translation
application for iPhones, along with TGPHOTO that allows the user to take a picture of a foreign
word and translate the text into over 50 languages.
