"Breaking Down" Is Also Hard To Do !

JUST A MATTER OF TIME....One of Us Was Going To Break Down First !

I thought it was going to be me !

After All...My '94 Honda Accord has been been the most reliable, dependant partner one can ever ask for...Everyday...getting me here & there..in bumper to bumper traffic...in the heat of summer...in the frigidity of Chicago winters...Every morning without any doubts, she was willing and ready to motor me ...of course, oil changes...regular maintanance was extremely important....I wish I took the same care of myself....for I was positive she was in better shape than I.... Just looking at both of us...anyone can figure that! Ha !

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN A REALTOR ROUTINE !

Yesterday..after driving 70 miles round trip to show a prospective buyer a "REO" Bank Owned property..I thought it was a good time, in between appointments to take her in for an oil change....perhaps a bath ...after all, yesterday was like in the mid 90's..with high heat index..etc etc. So we went to our regular "oil/lube/ detail center" ..drove into the stall....turned off engine..and "BANG"/EXPLOSION from engine compartment....steam/smoke/ instantly all over the place.....RADIATOR EXPLOSION ! Dont ask !! I had no idea "why" or "what".... figured at that moment....there went my plans to show anymore homes..time to contact 'AAA".....yep, first time in 18 yrs....it was necessary.

So Thats it...

after 1 hr of making arrangements...tow truck took her to our favorite mechanic...and we'll find out today, what caused it ...At 18..she's still a young car..and Im becoming an Older man..Time for my CheckUP...!

With 22 yrs of real estate experience....nothing rattles me anymore. Just another day! Wishing all of you..a pleasant day and Happy 4th...Get your Check UP !

Today, my '95 Chevy Pick Up Truck..gets to work with me !

Got Solar?

Gotta love those Honda and Toyota vehicles that can take a 300,000 mile licking and keep on ticking. Good luck with the ol' girl!

Mike:  You're a man after my own heart.  First ... you own an Accord.  Absolutely best car and purchase I've made.  Dependable.  Low-maintenance.  Easy on the wallet.  Secondly ... I don't buy new cars often.  Hate it.  I get ribbed about driving them until they die, but I don't care.  I stick with the faithful ...

Hope all turns out well for you re: your Honda ...

tHANKS, GENE...

GOING TO COST $1200 to repair....radiator, water pump, timing belt...+ hoses/clamps/valve cover gasket,,,

after that,.,,,turns back into a sweet ole reliable Honda Accord...thats the first major screw up,,,its prob my fault...i think the thermostat....or radiator cap created the problem...for they told me the radiator was getting weaker,.,,some rust spots.,,,,etc etc....and I prob didnt watch or flush the system often enough....and just placed

Car is actually smarter than i am....and to think it still has the original casette player...and the first "hands free" "star-Tac" cell phone set up......

Have a great 4th of July,,,,will keep in touch...where in Chicagoland is your mortgage located>? I can always use a good mortgage rep.....

Best regards

Mike

Mike:  Glad to hear that you "friend", your Accord, is going to be fine and live on.  I'm chuckling about your model having a cassette player!  I'm jealous!

And I have multiple locations/offices in Chicagoland, but my main office is in Naperville.  Far more often, I go to my referral partner and their clients, then the other way around.  Just seems to help my clients more that way.  Technology makes it all possible.  I appreciate you asking for my info.  I would love the opportunity to speak with you and work towards earning your business.

Hope you avoided the worst of the storms on Friday night ... and are safe ...
